McCarty Weight Loss Center is about much more than bariatric surgery. We offer services to support our patients before and after surgery. From counseling services to body contouring and cosmetic surgery, we provide our patients a well-rounded array of non-surgical options to assist them, no matter where they are in their weight loss journey.
Reach Your Weight Loss Goal with Non-Surgical procedures
We also know that weight loss surgery isn’t for everyone. We provide a number of services to help our patients regain their confidence and self-esteem — whether or not bariatric surgery is part of the equation. Here’s a look at some of the aesthetic, cosmetic and support services you’ll find at McCarty Weight Loss Center.
Body Contouring
If you’ve experienced dramatic weight loss after weight loss surgery, body contouring can help you achieve your desired shape. From abdominoplasty to minimally invasive solutions, laser skin resurfacing and anti-wrinkle treatments, our body contouring services (performed in partnership with Lakewood Aesthetics) offer the latest in minimally invasive and non-invasive options.
SmartLipo
SmartLipo™ is an advanced laser body sculpting treatment that is fast and effective in treating the abdomen, thighs, face, jawline, neck, arms and male breast (and other problem areas). SmartLipo™ can help reduce cellulite and correct body contours. This procedure is a very advanced form of laser liposuction that can benefit patients with proven results.
Botox/Dysport Injections
Quick, painless non invasive procedures can help patients achieve their optimal look, free of the wrinkles and lines that develop with age. Botox and Dysport can also be used to treat nasal tip drop, exaggerated upper gum smile, downturned smile, hyperhydrosis and pain associated with TMJ.
Body Composition Analysis
Weight and BMI are not the only factors in assessing whether someone is obese. It’s also necessary to determine a person’s lean muscle mass and fat mass to accurately diagnose obesity and recommend treatment. Body composition analysis is used to communicate the prevalence of obesity, and can help patients with a BMI under 35 receive insurance approval for surgery. The BMI analysis will help determine the amount of fat that can be targeted for weight loss.
Metabolic Testing
Measuring a patient’s Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) is essential to helping them achieve both short-term and long-term weight loss goals. A patient’s metabolic rate is based on their weight, height, gender and age, it is then compared to the metabolic rate that we measure in our clinic. This helps us design the most effective dietary and exercise regimen possible. Metabolic testing allows us to complete a proper evaluation of underlying medical conditions that can slow a patient’s metabolic rate.
Nutritional Counseling
Dieting is a major component of weight loss and works with weight loss surgery to help patients achieve optimum weight. Our nutritional counseling services help take the guesswork out of proper nutrition. We evaluate our patients’ caloric requirements, medical history and cardiovascular health. This will provide a specific dietary recommendation to help them reach their goal. Eating foods you enjoy is the best way to create health dieting habits. With that in mind, we work with our patients to find an approach that’s both sensible and enjoyable.
Surgical Support Services
Patients should have a healthy support system after weight loss surgery is. To that end, we offer exercise physiology, certified fitness training, nutritional guidance and support groups. The Post-surgery support system will help our patients succeed in overcoming obesity.
Weight Loss Medications
We commonly use a variety of medications to achieve optimal weight loss. Doctors will determine which medication based on each patient’s medical history and risk assessment. We help our patients to find the right combination to optimize weight loss and reduce the risks of side effects.
Weight Regain Support
Regaining weight after bariatric surgery is often a frustrating and defeating experience. That’s why we offer a unique and innovative approach to help patients who have regained weight get back on track. With metabolic and body composition testing, we can help our patients address weight regain and consider additional surgery, if necessary.
McCarty Weight Loss Center is here to help you achieve your weight loss goals, whether that means bariatric surgery or other non-surgical weight loss options.
