Lap Band Surgery is often called the "reversible" weight loss procedure

Adjustable gastric band surgery, or lap band surgery as it is often called, is a “reversible” weight loss procedure that has been declining in popularity. This bariatric procedure consists of placing a silicon band around the upper stomach, attached with tubing to an access port under the skin. This lap band apparatus helps restrict the volume of food that enters the stomach and is adjustable by adding or removing fluid through the port.

If you currently satisfied with your lap band, Total Wellness & Bariatrics is happy to help you maintain and manage it. However, many patients are disappointed by the lap band’s relative slower weight loss and opt to upgrade to a Mini Sleeve©, gastric bypass, or SADI-S.

Our alternatives to Lap Band Surgery are covered by most insurance providers.

Our alternatives to lap band surgery such as SADI-S duodenal switch surgery are covered by most major insurers.
