Total Wellness & Bariatrics offers our patients SADI-S surgery. This highly effective weight loss procedure is a variation on the older duodenal switch surgery. Instead of two connections, the SADI-S procedure has one. Dr. Dill begins the first step of this procedure by creating a standard gastric sleeve but allowing the stomach to be a little larger. In the second step, she divides the duodenum, creating a new connection to the small intestine at the level of the ileum. This important step of SADI surgery adds a malabsorption component, helping to reduce calorie absorption into the body.
Not only have we remodeled our site, we’ve changed our name too! McCarty Weight Loss Center is now Total Wellness & Bariatrics.

Good candidates for the SADI surgery are individuals with diabetes who have a body mass index greater than 45. But any patient who has failed to reach their weight loss goals with an earlier bariatric procedure may also want to consider the SADI. The SADI surgery is also a much quicker procedure to perform than then standard duodenal switch operation—involving less time under anesthesia. Plus, SADI surgeries are endorsed by the ASMBS and can be approved through insurance plans that have no weight loss surgery exclusions.
